Award-Winning French Modern Bakery Ramps Up Expansion With 10 New Outlets Targeted; 20 by 2017

Dubai-based Pascal Tepper French Bakery looks set to add ten outlets to its portfolio over the next three years following the signing of two franchise agreements, one each in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.

This comes just days after general manager, Michel Saab confirmed that the modern French bakery business is gearing for global growth using the franchise model.

“We have recently signed two international Master Franchise Agreements in Abu-Dhabi and (the State of) Qatar between them representing a 10-plus unit roll-out over the next 24 months. Indeed, the first of five outlets in Abu Dhabi will open before the year is out,” Saab said.

He went on to confirm that he expects to announce an additional four partners before the year is out, likely to take the Pascal Tepper portfolio to more than 20 outlets by 2017.
The regional development drive coincides with the third anniversary of the brand’s Dubai Media City flagship, a French modern dine-in bakery, the brain-child of Chef Pascal. Pascal holds the Meilleur Ouvrier de France title – a much-coveted recognition for the best French bakers that helps make the bakery a firm favourite with a loyal following.

During that time the management team ensured that a full franchise offering was developed resulting in swift recognition by the Middle East Franchise Association. The Pascal Tepper franchise team scooped the award for the Best Middle East Franchise Brand of 2013.

“As we started to reach out to potential partners it was very exciting to learn that the Pascal Tepper brand is quite well known by a number of hospitality groups around the region,’’ said Saab.
He confirmed they are actively looking for partners in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, as well as Turkey and Iraq that have existing experience in the F&B sector, a site to establish the brand, and funding of around US$600,000.
“We are very enthusiastic about where the Pascal Tepper franchise offering is headed. We know we have a winning combination of a wonderful product, a committed team, alongside consistency in the best baking practices,” said Chef Pascal.

The flagship Pascal Tepper French Bakery is on the main drag in Dubai Media City and features a range of creations with authentic ingredients from France to ensure the same typical French taste and quality.
