The Huddle Welcomes The Rugby Championship 2013 @CitymaxHotels

All games in the six rounds of the Rugby Championship from 17 August to 6 October 2013 will be screened live in The Huddle at Citymax Hotels Bur Dubai, with a special menu to complement the matches.

The following unique dishes have been created for this sports occasion:
- From the home of the Pumas we have Empanadas, these are small pastries filled with spicy chicken, tomato and coriander : a true Argentinean snack
- Coming from the land down under we have selected an easy dish called “snags” with onions. For those non Aussies a “snag” is a sausage
- New Zealand has a lot to offer and we have selected an old Maori boil up, this consists of chicken, Kumara, puha, spinach, rounded off with some doughboys
- Nothing beats a Durban Curry unless it’s a Bunny Chow. With this in mind we have chosen a real favorite (lamb curry) in a quarter loaf of bread, truly SAFA.
The Rugby Championship (otherwise known as the Southern Hemisphere international rugby union competition)  is an international rugby union competition contested annually by ArgentinaAustralia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
Prior to the 2012 tournament, when Argentina joined, it was known as the Tri Nations. The competition is administered by SANZAR, a consortium formed by three national governing bodies; the Australian Rugby Union, the New Zealand Rugby Union and the South African Rugby Union.
The inaugural Tri Nations tournament was in 1996, and was won by New Zealand – known as the All Blacks. South Africa won their first title in 1998 and Australia their first in 2000. Following the last Tri Nations tournament in 2011, New Zealand had won ten championships, with South Africa and Australia on three titles each. The first Rugby Championship was won by New Zealand, who won all six of their matches.
Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have frequently been ranked among the top rugby nations, and have each won the Rugby World Cup twice. While historically weaker than the other three nations, Argentina has been ranked as high as third in the IRB World Rankings. In their first tournament in 2012, Argentina secured a 16–16 draw with South Africa in only their second game.
