HONG KONG TOURISM BOARD @HongKongTourism LAUNCHES ARABIC VERSION OF ITS AWARD WINNING WEBSITE

Recognising the importance of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) region, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has announced the launch of an Arabic version of its award winning website DiscoverHongKong.com. The user-friendly website, which offers a wealth of helpful information on visiting Hong Kong, will also provide more tailored information for Arabic visitors, to create a brand-new browsing experience.
As part of the website’s features, users can now use the interactive itinerary planner to plan their trip to Hong Kong while surfing HKTB’s website. Users simply click on the things they want to check out in Hong Kong, and all related information is then organised into a personalized guide. Next steps are downloading the guide and getting your suitcase packed.
Anthony Lau Executive
Director of the HKTB
Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director of the HKTB, said: “We are delighted to launch the Arabic version of HKTB’s DiscoverHongKong.com. It is important for us to be able to offer the new interface of our website in Arabic, which certainly will provide greater convenience for our growing number of visitors
from the GCC, and it also ties in our strategy in increasing our promotional effort in new markets.”
The GCC market is a key market for Hong Kong, and in addition to the Arabic website, HKTB is carrying out a number of awareness initiatives across the region.  These include working with major travel agents in the region, distributing a tailor-made Arabic family guide book, and a consumer promotion event to showcase the dynamic aspects of this exciting destination.
